There are people who seem to hug you with their voices. You lose the essence of the words themselves when you hear these particular notes, not loud or quiet, not high or low, not sharp, but somehow special. And you are ready to listen, and listen, and listen… Do you want such a voice?

A person’s voice has a very strong effect on the listener. People with pleasant voices are perceived as more successful and attractive. However, only 5% of people have such a sound by nature. If you’re one of them, you already know how it works. If not, then dive into our material to have a million-dollar voice!

Breathe

Your voice may not be yours. It sounds strange, but the reason is physiology. The voice can be compared to the body. How does your body behave when you are calm and relaxed? It’s free, light, your arms always have room, your legs obediently follow the brain’s commands. And what happens when you’re chained by fear or stress? Your hands get in the way, your legs don’t move or go the wrong way, your knees shake, your body feels like it’s not your own, and everything is annoying as hell.

The same thing happens with your voice. To sound beautiful, you need to learn to breathe – or to free your voice. Teach yourself to inhale and exhale through your stomach – that is, fully. Put your hand on your stomach. Inhale – the stomach inflates as much as possible. Exhale – the stomach goes down. And so on several times. Repeat these exercises as soon as you remember them. Usually, because we are in a hurry, we forget to breathe properly. This tightens the whole body, including the laryngeal muscles. Train yourself to breathe freely at all times, and your voice will sound more confident and deeper.

Exercises for the voice

Below we’ve prepared a few exercises for you that will give your voice a real gym. If you’ve ever gone to the gym (and done it faithfully: it’s important), you’ve seen the results in the mirror. It’s the same with your voice. Do voice exercises systematically, and you’ll see results soon.

Breathing exercises:

Candle. Light a candle and put it in the safest place. Inhale through your stomach. As you exhale, try to extinguish the candle. Did you succeed? Great! Move the candle further away. Do it again. Repeat this exercise until the candle goes out. This is your starting distance for training. Keep trying to extinguish the candle at a long distance. If you fail, try again the next day. And so on until you have mastered the task. Then move the candle away again. The game starts all over again.
This exercise will help you achieve a smooth sound and depth. After all, in the end, you will be able to say more phrases that sound smooth and harmonious when you exhale.

Flower. Imagine that there is a fragrant flower in front of you. “Smell” it like you did when you were a child. Take 3 short breaths and exhale. Then take 3 long breaths – exhale. Repeat several times.

Steps. Imagine that you are walking up the stairs and calling out the floor numbers. The further you go, the higher your voice becomes. Then – on the contrary – go down. The lower you go, the lower your voice gets.
